"God does not give us overcoming life: He gives us life as we overcome."

Spending time in John 14, 15, and 16 can and should affect our thinking!  We used the verse John 14:6 this week in VBS...Jesus saith unto him (Thomas), "I am the way, the truth, and the life...NO man cometh unto the Father...but by Me."  When we surrender our heart and life to Jesus Christ, He gives us a new life and heart.  He gives us the Holy Spirit to give us power to overcome the weaknesses we have.
In a world filled with turmoil and doubt, Christ's words give hope!  There is a better way!  We don't have to continue as we are!  To me that is a wonderful blessing!
