Just for Moms,
Happy Week #7! Yes...I am keeping track...I need to for our lessons...and my sanity. I have had several days that I can't remember what day till I stop for a second and remember calendar time from the morning! Really. I am also keeping track because this week...May arrives! The busy time of year...well, usually.
Even though our lives have come to a stop, in a sense, time still marches on in the universe! Look outside...time is still moving forward. Time is moving forward for our children...look at the things they can do now. Stop and be thankful...it took much time to produce those blessings!
I am emotionally filled up on the concept of time...we a have senior girl who is counting down the days to the next chapter. I have been sorting through hundreds of pictures and my heart runs down my face unbidden. I am so grateful for God's provision and protection through these years. What an accomplishment for our children to see goals completed! We are celebrating our girl Alisa. I went to sleep full of emotion and prayer for her future. I just read Proverbs 27:23-24. Our time with our children is short...even though it feels really long some days! Do you know the condition of their heart? Are you paying attention to the needs of your children? (Not just physical needs!) Can I plead with you...don't wish the days away!
Don't waste the days that God has given you...roughly 18 years. In this last month of concentrated time at home, we have had some really sweet times together as a family. We have looked back at memories and savored our days together. All the hard times...we would not trade them...for they have made our life full...yes, better. We do not want anyone "to fix" or "make better" what is happening now for the sake of our children. They are learning about God and His working in our lives. They are learning about God's sovereignty in the good, the bad, and the hard. God did not make a mistake in allowing the corona virus situation. He has something for all of us to learn.
With love,
Kari...just realizing that God gives good gifts...even in sickness and unrest...
