Just for Moms,
Theodore Roosevelt once said, "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
That thought came to mind as I read Proverbs 5. Yesterday, we read about guarding our heart. Today, I read about the pull of the strange woman and how clever she is. So much noise and yammering in our ears and eyes these days...satan pulling our attention away from what is most important...our family who is right in front of us!!!
Wisdom asks us to pay attention and listen closely to her understanding so that we may maintain discretion and safeguard knowledge. Gentle, quiet reminders that give us a choice.
We have what we need for today...because we have God's Word. Use what you have today. Take the pressure off! Don't let others put stress on you. You know what your needs are. God will meet your needs as you seek wisdom from Him! If you feel overwhelmed with the schedule, set some things aside today. Focus on the basic needs of life. It is ok to do that! Take a deep breath!
With love,
Kari...just a mom who knows that sometimes fixing one more snack/meal may cause you to breakdown in tears. If you are at that point...STOP and just sit while your children play! Dry cereal in a cup for a snack is just fine...add some marshmallows and or chocolate chips...and now it is a party!
