Proverbs 21:30

"There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD."
This verse caught my attention this morning!  There can be no success against God, and we must never act in opposition to Him, in contempt of His commands, or in contradiction to His counsels.  So often we think have wisdom, and understanding, and counsel with people on our side to support us, yet, if we are against the Lord, we cannot go on for long. God has given us so many examples in the Bible of people that stood against Him...whether they saw it as that or not.  I wonder if God sits in heaven shaking His head and laughs at the projects (man's ways) that are against Him.  As our missionary said on Sunday, we know the end of the story...God gave it to us in His Word!  God will carry out His point in spite of those who are against Him. 
Who are you depending on today?  Who are you following?  Listening to?  Watching?  Reading?  Do you understand that there are attractive, well-spoken people who can lead you astray?  What is your measuring stick?  Just because a person is well-known and well-liked by the popular majority...doesn't mean it is right!  How discerning are you?
I like how the commentator put it..."There can be no success without God, and therefore we must never act but in dependence on Him.  Be the cause ever so good, and the patrons of it ever so strong, and wise, and faithful, and the means of carrying it on, and gaining the point, ever so probable, still we must acknowledge God and take Him along with us."
Proverbs 21:2  "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts."
