Thoughts to start our morning...from Proverbs 15

A soft answer turneth away wrath:  but grievous words stir up anger.
The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright:  but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
The lips of the wise disperse knowledge:  but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.
The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge:  but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
A wrathful man stirreth up strife:  but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:  and a word spoken in due season, how good it is!
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD:  but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
The heart of the righteous studieth to answer:  but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul:  but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

We spent time reading, talking, and asking the Lord help us to use soft answers today.  In order to do that...we have to slow down considering what we know to be right according to God's Word.  Most often...we don't even slow down long enough to know we need to stop...and study our answer!  We talked about how satan will attack us as we obey what we learn in God's Word.
We were alert and ready to face the day...choosing to please God.
And then...
10 minutes after our time spent in God's Word...words were pouring forth...and it wasn't pleasant or good.
Another time of admonition.
