"I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth..."
This is the passage that our devotions came out of this morning...what a way to start the week! When I focus on the Lord..."seek Him, and He hears me...He delivers me from all my fears!" It doesn't say He removes those things that cause me to be fearful...He tells me where my focus is to be and that He is near and hears me. What a wonderful reminder for a new week! I have the opportunity...and responsibility to bless the Lord...and be glad! I also have a few things that I have to make sure I obey, as I am reminded as I read the following verses:
Trust in Him
Fear the Lord
Hearken unto Me
Keep thy tongue from evil and thy lips from speaking guile
Depart from evil
Do good
Seek peace and pursue it
Have a broken heart and contrite spirit
...living righteously takes a surrendered and obedient heart...and it isn't always easy! It is a daily surrender.
But because He is the Lord...and He has redeemed my soul...I have a reason to "...be glad...maginfy Him...and exalt His name..."
