Micah 6:8

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"

We had the opportunity to fill in for the teen SS class a couple weeks ago, and I taught the group this verse in the form of a song.  I used to teach it every year to my school class.  Ted started out the lesson based on some interaction with the teens.  While he spoke and the teens responded, God brought this song to mind.  Every plan that Ted had written on paper changed in those first few minutes.  I watched my husband share his heart once again...and he connected with the group!  My eyes filled with tears as I heard the teens open their hearts to a man who knows the path that some of them walk.  "God brings things into our lives to teach us many different things.  You will learn something different than what I learned.  When we learn those lessons, we are then to take what we have learned and help others...you can't do that if you are angry and bitter...you must submit to the will of your Father."
When we learn from our Father, He expects us to live differently.  He expects us to show love and mercy to others.  He expects us to walk with Him...submitting daily to what He has for us to learn!  It sounds so simple...yet we struggle so violently against Him.  He has taken the guess work out of the equation!  God tells us in His Word that He has showed us what is good...why do we settle for the bad, the "it's not that bad", or "it's close...it will be good enough"?
