Stuck at home...isn't always a bad thing!

How quickly our plans for the week change!  I thoroughly enjoyed the extra time spent at home with our children this week.  I am so glad we were able to be in God's house on Sunday morning.  What a blessing!  It prepared me to "Be still" the rest of the week.  I believe God sends the snow and cold to make us slow down!  Most of us were so busy through the Christmas season we couldn't see straight.  So often our sense of obligation, priorities, and desires turn our family life upside down.  I pray that you took time to re-consider your start to the new year.  Do your children see you sit down and spend time in His Word?  Do they see you rest?  Are you teaching them to play and leave you alone while you spend time in prayer? (It counts when your hands are in the dishwater doing dishes!)  Do they enjoy some uninterrupted attention/conversation with Dad and Mom?  We can't be happy in our service to the Lord and to others, when we are worn out and frazzled from running all the time!  Don't sacrifice the eternal for the temporal!
