Just for Moms!
I Samuel 30:1-6 tells the story of David (right before he is made king) and the people rose up against him and blamed him for what had happened wanting to stone him. Bad times at the moment! But God records for us to read in verse 6..."And David was greatly distressed...BUT David encouraged himself in the LORD his God."
I heard this preached on Friday and I have been meditating on the truth since! We could label these times distressful. This virus is hurting/killing people. We want to blame someone. We want to scream against the hurts. But that is not going to change the situation or help us feel better about the situation! In fact, it will negatively impact how we live and love others.
As just a mom, can I encourage you this morning? Don't miss what God wants to do for you and your family at this time! There is so much we can learn during these days of "shelter in place". Make your place a place of love and peace. Focus on caring for people that live inside your four walls and pray for those outside. If you have to be out, smile at those around you and speak life to others and take pre-cautions that will keep those you love as safe as possible. God is still in control! He loves you! Today...strengthen your heart in the LORD by reading His Words and crank up some heart stirring music! Your family will notice!
