Just for Moms...
I hope you have had time today to reflect on the goodness of God in your life! Without the cross...there is no Savior and and without the Resurrection...there is no hope.
Our family joined Ashlynn's college (Crown College) for their online chapel service this morning. It was a blessing to hear a message (recorded from a decade ago...the pastor and president of the college had a death in their family). It was like he was talking about these past couple weeks! I Thessalonians 3:8, "For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord." I was encouraged and challenged when the preacher said, "The only way faith will be in our country...is if we contend for the faith that our country was found on many years ago.." We can still teach our children faith as we spend time in the safety of our home! If we don't teach them, someone else will teach them something. Will they be grounded to be able to stand fast in the Lord?
Our biggest need right now...is to fight off the fear and worry that threaten to choke us and cause us to crawl under the covers and hide as we shelter at home. Don't give in to that fear. God is not the giver of fear! He is the giver of power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Choose rather to stand fast in the Lord. Look back at what He has done for you. Trust Him. Stand in awe as He continues to work in the hearts and lives of people. Your biggest fight right now...is to fight for the hearts and minds of your children/family by teaching them to stand fast in the Lord! Your children are watching you...and they hear your words. Are you pointing them to the Savior and sharing hope?
